ink, a needle, and a design.
i think you know where this is going.
i almost got a tattoo a few years ago. it was going to be a celtic knot on the inside of my left forearm, just below my elbow. for one reason or another i never did, and kept putting it off. i had the design picked out, redrew it a couple of times on paper, but still held off. i think part of it was because a friend of mine (and a tattoo artist) said that the one i wanted would blur because of the fine work, unless i wanted it to be at least three inches in diameter, or bigger... which wasn't gonna happen. i *did* however, end up with a couple more holes in me, besides the one in my upper left ear. i got my tongue done in november '97, and my nips done september '98. the ear and tongue are empty now... so i'm back to thinking about the tattoo thing again.
i think. maybe not, it's probably just a passing phase, just something i thought looked cool somewhere. i would still want to get a celtic knot, but i found another one that i like... and i'm not sure that i'm done looking. maybe that's my answer, and i'm giving myself a reason to not get one, at least for now. then again, maybe it's a permanence issue...
what do you guys/girls/people have (if anything)? just curious.

i don't have a tattoo, but i always thought an image of an octopus, with meandering tentacles, would be quite nice.
or the simple word "tattoo."
get a bar code tattoo of your PGP passphrase so you won't keep forgetting it, knucklehead.
i have three, all just little ones. i wouldn;t have it any ofther way. i have on o my lower back, one on my shoulderblade, and one on my shoulder.
There's an artist somewhere tattooing his or her novel a word at a time on volunteers. The whole thing from the point of view of the tattoo-ee is sort of like picking out the grab bag at the candy store. What if you get a word like "the" or "and"? A total bust.
I've put some serious thought into a bellybutton piercing, but nothing has ever come of it other than thought, and the promise of a friend to take me to have it done on my birthday. The bd came and went and no piercing. No tattoos here either. How dull! Eh, I can make some pretty funny faces at least.

Two things:
1. in response to your site, I just got a tattoo while I was down in Cancun, and I love it. I have spent the last 3 years wanting one, turned 18 and then decided it was a phase and then last week I finally saw what I wanted....and well, I went for it. It's on my right shoulder blade and I am extremely pleased with it. I think that if you want it you should jump at the chance, just make sure its something you think you will want forever.
2. I am using your xanga skin ((the green and black box model)) and I am fairly new to this whole computer html internet thing. I am trying to figure out how to customize the eprops and comments links, but I am pretty unsure how to go about doing that. I asked a few people but their ways didn't change it so I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction since it was you who created the skin. I would appriciate it a lot. Thanx.
Good luck with the choice on the tat if u do decide to get one

Do it! However... beware - they are addicting. I started with one nice little Celtic knot ... now trying to talk myself out of a fourth tattoo.
if you get one..and your friend /tatoo artist doesn't do it, I recommend www.renaissancetattoo.com
it's in RI and they are one of the best around.
on the tat: got 2-on tummy of theatre masks, on lower back of a genie (cartoony.. wish i opt for something more grown up looking *shrugs*) .. bb ring-no regret there.
holes heal, but inks are a pain to erase. but seems like you're set on what you want. have you gotten it yet? where?
