Since I've been letting my beard go wild, I was thinking of going as Yukon Cornelius.
I'll put a picture up if I do.

Apple picking, and eating the delicious baked goods (and the apples themselves) from said apple picking.
A close second is the cooler weather and better sleeping weather.

The short: my commute sucks.
It's not the worst out there, but it's not good. I drive about 46 miles each way, and the first third of it is no more than 40mph. Sometimes it takes me 55 minutes (with little to no traffic), but the past couple of weeks it's been closer to 1:45.
The only saving grace has been Fridays. Most Friday commutes are nice and easy, relatively few cars on the road (compared to a "normal" morning), and I get to work closer to my planned time. This Friday was no exception, and even though I left a little later than I wanted, I was only about 10 minutes late.
Anyone with a worse commute? I know you're out there. I also know there are some people that have a 30 foot commute into their home office. To those people, I am jealous.
Confession time: I've been seeing other sites.
I was thinking about this site this morning, and realized how much xanga has done for me. I started out with a Geocities site back in 1997, then came to xanga in July of 2001 (I won't mention the B-name). This site has been a place for me to get to know a lot of people, and I've seen a lot of changes in the past 7 years, most for the better. I've even gotten to talk to some of the bigger players, like Dan and John (of the xangods). There have been chats with seanmeister, NFP, namaste, billsquared, and numerous others.
This is a great place to write, and easy to come back to... I'll try to get on here more and post, but I can't promise anything. Thank you xanga and the xangods, for this community and a stepping stone into the big, big world of the Internet.
